Data coverage

UK mortgage and property, covered field by field

Our data model is built around organisations and the people connected to them. Every field carries its own evidence, and availability depends on provenance, licensing and your approved purpose. Coverage is being built out: live content today is limited to a small set of test organisations.

What the dataset is built to hold

Organisations

  • Legal and trading names
  • Companies House number and legal status
  • FCA firm reference number and permissions
  • Registered office address, clearly separated from branch addresses
  • Switchboard and site telephone numbers (TPS/CTPS screening is planned)
  • Website and sector classification
  • Network, appointed-representative and group relationships

People

  • Name and job role
  • Current firm and start of that relationship
  • Previous firms, retained as history rather than overwritten
  • Regulatory status, including individual reference numbers where published
  • Professional profile links where they were published by the individual

Evidence on every value

  • Source of each individual value
  • Confidence level, shown as a label and an icon
  • Date the value was last checked
  • Conflicting evidence where sources disagree
  • Licence and permitted uses attached to the source

Coverage is not the same as availability

A field being in the dataset does not mean every customer can see or export it. Public register data, licensed data and data collected directly by Barcadia carry different permitted uses. Your approved purpose determines which of those you may rely on, and personal data is only ever released where the lawful basis and the source licence both allow it.

How we govern availability
